Moving Music features an accessible dance aerobics workshop & musical performances. This event is created for Disabled, Sick, neurodivergent, and MAD people in Philadelphia.
Part of Undue Burden (Oct. 19 – Nov. 23, 2024), a community archive and event series celebrating the experiences of Disabled people.
COVID-19 Protocols
Members of our community are severely immunocompromised. Please follow guidelines to keep each other safe. If you have questions or need more information to support you in following the COVID guidelines, please reach out to [email protected].
- High quality, well fitting masks required at all times, except for necessary sips of water.
- For those who can’t wear masks, we’ll ask you to take a rapid antigen test at the door. Tests will be provided.
- Snacks and food may be enjoyed outside the venue.
- Please rapid test the day of the event. Photos of negative tests required at the door or we will provide tests for you to take if you forget.
- Please do not attend if you have symptoms.
- We will be providing air purification.

Event Schedule
1-3pm: Queerobics Workshop
An accessibility-centered, all-levels dance aerobics class led by queer, trans, and chronically ill dance artists. Dance Captains demonstrate movement variations in real time alongside the lead instructor, including low impact variations and participation from a seated position.
3-6pm: Musical Performances
Experience multimedia performances from local sound/music artists in the round. Throughout the performances, audiences are invited to float between different areas of the theater specified to care for our emerging needs. There will be spaces for laying, dancingg, and crafting.
