Join Painted Bride for Assata’s House: The Meal, a community dinner for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) designed to spark meaningful conversations between neighbors and stakeholders. The conversations will center around the 52nd Street Corridor’s social landscape during and after COVID-19. This gathering aims to unite people to reflect on the changes, challenges, and opportunities the pandemic brought to our community, specifically, its impacts on local businesses, public safety, and mutual aid efforts.
The Meal is an opportunity to share stories, listen, and engage in dialogue about our experiences, dreams, and ideas for the future. Together, we will explore how community care, resilience, and solidarity can help us build a stronger and more inclusive 52nd Street Corridor. All attendees are encouraged to bring their full selves to the conversation, contributing their perspectives and insights as we work toward creating a more just and equitable neighborhood.
Dinner will be provided, with vegetarian options available. RSVP is required.
